DODGY – BUSKING BARGE – SHEFTIVAL

You’re on a barge, sailing down a channel and the sun is shining bright: is there anyone else you would rather like to listen to than Dodgy? Well on the Busking Barge, those lucky enough to smuggle themselves on board went one better and saw the power pop-trio perform live.
The ideal setting for an acoustic rendition of their hits was only matched by the band’s fantastic chat with the crowd in between songs so when they weren’t singing along to classic like ‘Staying Out For the Summer’ they were laughing away to the drummer pointing out poorly phrased leaflets about barge cruising.
But the guys themselves weren’t safe from their own sense of humour. In fact their age and music was one of their favourite targets telling the audience that the next song was one their grandparents would be able to sing along to.
Even pulling back into the Jetty was enough to stop the band from playing on, treating the crowd to the seminal ‘Good Enough’ which everyone was bopping away to in their confined seats (dancing would have put the barge at risk).
